| Participation Qualifications | Full marathon ・Persons born before April 1, 2004, that are capable of completing the whole course of the full marathon within 6 hours. Minatomirai 7km run ・Persons born before April 1, 2007, that are capable of completing the whole course of the 7km within 70 minutes. Wheelchair Challenge ・Persons born before April 1, 2016, that are capable of completing the course of about 2.5 km by a wheelchair within 60 minutes. ・Wheelchair (excluding the one for a track meet) ・Accompanying (assistance) is possible. Online marathon ・Persons born before April 1, 2007, that are capable of completing the whole course of the full marathon within the holding period ・Persons who have a smartphone. ・In order to participate, it is mandatory to submit a negative certificate by corona vaccination or PCR test. Further details are to be advised. (Excluding online marathon). |
For those who live in foreign countries
Those who wish to participate the “Yokohama Marathon 2022” should check and agree to the following 5 points.
Application available from April on 26th , and please apply from the “General quota (一般枠)”.
(1) About entering Japan:
Referring to 1-(2)-⑤ of [Yokohama Marathon 2022 COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines] (*),
Please be decline participation, If the participant travels to certain country or region where the government orders to quarantine after 16 October 2022 who are returning or has close contact with a person who did the same..
* The above does not apply if the government reduce issuance / request of COVID-19,
Furthermore, in case participant cancelled race after registered or race confirmed, even unable to enter to Japan with the reason of the spread of COVID-19, the organizer will not be taken responsible for any compensation or refund.

(2) About advance shipping:
About 3 weeks before the race, we are planning to send the bib numbers, timing chips, participation T-shirts and etc.,
When you make your on-line entry, please register the address in Japan that you can receive the shipping items.
* You cannot register an overseas address.
* The Yokohama Marathon Executive Office will not hand them over.
(3) About health assessment utilizing a specified health-management app:
Daily health assessment from 23 October 2022 and till 13 November 2022 will be required utilizing a specified health-management app.
* At the reception on the day of the race, the participant will be required to show his QR code display screen or the form that outputs the QR code display screen of the app, so preparation of a PC, tablet, smartphone, etc. and an internet environment are essential.
(4) About language support:
From entry to the day of the race, all correspondence will be in Japanese. Since the email is also in Japanese, you need to be able to receive the correct content on your device. It is essential that you understand the guidance in Japanese and be able to respond in Japanese as needed.
* Foreign language manuals are not available. * Inquiries to the Yokohama Marathon Executive Office are available only in Japanese and English.
(5) Others
Those who agree with the contents of the “Entry Rules”, “Competition Rules” and ” Yokohama Marathon 2022 COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines” separately set by the organizer.
